We’re currently recruiting for an experienced PSV Mechanic / Bus Technician to join a professional workshop team in Burnley. This is a great opportunity for a skilled mechanic, HGV technician or commercial vehicle fitter looking to work on a modern fleet of buses and coaches that keep local communities across Burnley and the surrounding areas moving. If you enjoy diagnosing faults, carrying out quality repairs and working as part of a supportive engineering team, this could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities of the HGV Technician:
  • Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance inspections on buses
  • Working on engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, electrical systems and bodywork
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
  • Completing routine servicing, including oil changes, lubrication and filter replacements
  • Identifying and reporting major faults or recurring defects to the Workshop Supervisor
  • Following all health & safety and environmental standards
What We’re Looking for from the HGV Technician:
  • Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, Automotive Engineering or similar
  • Experience working as a PSV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Bus Technician or Commercial Vehicle Mechanic
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience working with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
  • PCV / Category D Licence desirable or willingness to obtain
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns including weekends when required
