About the Role
Our client, a busy Bodyshop/Accident Repair Centre in the Farnham area, is currently looking for an experienced Bodyshop Manager / Vehicle Damage Assessor.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage activities of the production/workshop operations to ensure efficient work scheduling.
- Implement and manage work processes to ensure quality and service levels meet or exceed expectations.
- Hold daily production meetings with team leaders, parts, and reception staff to ensure work completion targets.
- Identify training and development needs and implement required training or coaching (subject to approval).
- Perform quality control checks before returning vehicles to customers.
- Accurately and professionally assess a wide range of vehicles.
- Use computerised estimating systems, ideally Audatex.
- Calculate costings and the time required to complete repairs.
- Regularly liaise with insurance engineers.
- Contact customers to provide updates on repair progress.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role or as a Workshop Controller.
- Experience using estimating software (preferably Audatex).
- Strong team player approach.
- Leadership skills to guide the team towards excellent customer service, efficiency, and profitability.
- Understanding of modern repair processes and techniques, with an eye for sales opportunities and strong interpersonal skills.
