About the Role

Our client, a busy Bodyshop/Accident Repair Centre in the Farnham area, is currently looking for an experienced Bodyshop Manager / Vehicle Damage Assessor.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage activities of the production/workshop operations to ensure efficient work scheduling.
  • Implement and manage work processes to ensure quality and service levels meet or exceed expectations.
  • Hold daily production meetings with team leaders, parts, and reception staff to ensure work completion targets.
  • Identify training and development needs and implement required training or coaching (subject to approval).
  • Perform quality control checks before returning vehicles to customers.
  • Accurately and professionally assess a wide range of vehicles.
  • Use computerised estimating systems, ideally Audatex.
  • Calculate costings and the time required to complete repairs.
  • Regularly liaise with insurance engineers.
  • Contact customers to provide updates on repair progress.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role or as a Workshop Controller.
  • Experience using estimating software (preferably Audatex).
  • Strong team player approach.
  • Leadership skills to guide the team towards excellent customer service, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Understanding of modern repair processes and techniques, with an eye for sales opportunities and strong interpersonal skills.
