Responsibilities
- Carrying out service, maintenance, and repairs to HGV trailers at customer sites and roadside locations
- Diagnosing faults efficiently and carrying out repairs in a safe and timely manner
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with manufacturer procedures and health and safety guidelines
- Inspecting trailers and identifying any additional defects or repair requirements
- Completing all job cards and paperwork accurately
- Liaising with the workshop controller or service team regarding job progress and parts required
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Trailer Mechanic / HGV Trailer Technician / HGV Trailer Fitter is essential
- Strong knowledge of trailer servicing, maintenance, and repair
- Must have own tools
- Apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Class 1 or 2 licence desirable
- Ability to work independently in a mobile role
