About Us: We are a well-established and reputable operator specialising in PSV and fleet maintenance, delivering high standards of safety and reliability. Based in York, we are looking to expand our engineering team with an experienced and motivated PSV Technician.
The Role: As a PSV Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of PSV vehicles, ensuring they meet all safety, legal, and operational standards. This is a hands-on role within a supportive and professional workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on PSV vehicles
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Complete routine inspections and safety checks
- Ensure all work complies with DVSA and company standards
- Maintain accurate records of work completed
- Work collaboratively with the wider engineering team to keep vehicles roadworthy
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a PSV Technician
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety
- PSV or HGV licence preferred but not essential
