The Role of the HGV Technician

We are recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to work on a modern fleet of PSV buses and coaches within a professional workshop environment. This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys working on larger vehicles and wants long-term stability with a growing operator.

Responsibilities of the HGV Technician:

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on PSV buses and coaches
  • 6-weekly inspections and preventative maintenance
  • MOT preparation and compliance work
  • Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults
  • Brake, suspension, steering and engine repairs
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to DVSA standards

The ideal HGV Technician will have:

  • Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance OR time-served HGV Technician
  • Experience working on HGV, PSV, buses or coaches
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Knowledge of DVSA inspection standards
  • Full UK Driving Licence (PCV licence desirable but not essential)
