The Role of the HGV Technician
We are recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to work on a modern fleet of PSV buses and coaches within a professional workshop environment. This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys working on larger vehicles and wants long-term stability with a growing operator.
Responsibilities of the HGV Technician:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on PSV buses and coaches
- 6-weekly inspections and preventative maintenance
- MOT preparation and compliance work
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults
- Brake, suspension, steering and engine repairs
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to DVSA standards
The ideal HGV Technician will have:
- Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance OR time-served HGV Technician
- Experience working on HGV, PSV, buses or coaches
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Knowledge of DVSA inspection standards
- Full UK Driving Licence (PCV licence desirable but not essential)
