 About the Role We are looking for a hands-on, motivated Workshop Manager to lead our busy Commercial Vehicle Workshop in Workington. You will play a key role in ensuring all vehicles are maintained, repaired, and returned to service efficiently and to the highest standards. While office-based, you will remain closely connected to the day-to-day workshop operations.
 Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily workshop operations and manage a team of skilled technicians
Plan, prioritise, and monitor maintenance and repair schedules
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with compliance standards
Liaise with drivers, engineers, and external suppliers to coordinate repairs and parts
Maintain accurate service, inspection, and repair records
Lead, motivate, and develop workshop staff to achieve performance goalsAbout You
Proven experience managing a commercial vehicle or HGV workshop
Strong technical understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
