We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Mobile HGV Technician to join our expanding operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for a field-based role with excellent earning potential, job stability, and the opportunity to work independently.
You will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and roadside repairs on a wide range of HGVs and trailers at customer sites and roadside locations.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections on HGVs and trailers
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
- Attend roadside breakdowns and provide fast, effective repairs
- Complete MOT preparation and defect rectification
- Carry out brake, suspension, engine, and trailer repairs
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults
- Ensure all work is completed to DVSA and company standards
- Complete job cards and paperwork accurately
- Deliver excellent customer service while working independently in the field
- Maintain company vehicle stock levels and tools
- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working on trailers would be advantageous
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures
- Full UK Driving Licence required
- HGV licence beneficial but not essential
- £22.00 – £24.00 per hour depending on experience
