We are recruiting a skilled HGV Technician to join our well-established operation in Thrapston, offering long-term stability, flexible working hours, and strong earning potential.
The Role – HGV Technician
As a HGV Technician, you will work in a fully equipped, professional workshop maintaining and repairing a modern mixed fleet of HGVs. This is a hands-on role with real variety, covering trucks and trailers, and an opportunity to make a real impact in a busy operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain, and repair HGVs, including Mercedes, Scania, and Volvo
- Work on a variety of trailers, including single-deck, double-deck, and flatbeds
- Carry out vehicle inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and MOT preparation
- Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and fully compliant with safety and legal standards
Working Hours
Monday to Friday – 45 hours per week
Flexible start and finish times:
- 6:00am – 3:30pm
- 7:00am – 4:30pm
- 8:00am – 5:30pm
- Optional Saturday mornings (as required)
Requirements – HGV Technician
- Level 3 HGV / Vehicle Maintenance qualification preferred
- IRTEC accreditation preferred (training available if not currently held)
- Class 1 (C+E) licence advantageous but not essential
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Professional, reliable, and safety-focused approach
