We are currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Supervisor / Foreman to join a well-established machinery and equipment hire business based in the Bristol area.
This is a hands-on role suited to somebody from a plant, access, lifting or specialist equipment background who is looking to take the next step into a leadership position while remaining technically involved day-to-day.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting workshop operations, overseeing engineers, maintaining equipment standards and ensuring machinery is prepared and ready for customer use.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervising workshop engineers and supporting daily operations
- Ensuring equipment servicing, inspections and repairs are completed efficiently
- Assisting with diagnostics across hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems
- Supporting breakdown coordination and workload planning
- Managing workshop paperwork, parts and job allocation
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety within the depot
- Previous experience within plant, access, tool hire or related industries
- Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic or electrical systems
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers advantageous
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification desirable
- Full UK Driving Licence
