Are you an experienced Forklift Engineer or Field Service Technician looking to join a respected and forward-thinking company? Holt Recruitment is working with a long-standing dealer of industry-leading materials handling equipment to recruit a Field Service Engineer covering the M25, M4, and M3 corridor areas. (Ideally based Reading, Slough, West London)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out on-site service, maintenance and repairs on a range of forklift and materials handling equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate job records and deliver excellent customer service on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and site-specific requirements.
  • Represent the business professionally and build strong relationships with customers.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a mobile service or workshop-based engineering role – ideally working with forklifts or similar plant/agricultural machinery.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to customer service.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours if required.
