Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a secure, well-paid, workshop-based role with excellent work–life balance? We are recruiting a dedicated HGV Technician to join our modern and professional workshop in Crewe, offering long-term stability, flexible hours, and strong earning potential.
The Role – HGV Technician As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a modern mixed HGV fleet, including trucks and trailers. You will work in a friendly, professional workshop environment, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and fully compliant with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGVs (Mercedes, Scania, Volvo)
Working on a range of trailers, including single-deck, double-deck, and flatbeds
Vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and fault finding
MOT preparation and safety checks
Ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with DVSA regulationsWorking Hours
Monday to Friday – 45 hours per week
Flexible start and finish times:
6:00am – 3:00pm
7:00am – 4:00pm
8:00am – 5:00pm
Optional Saturday mornings (as required)Requirements – HGV Technician
Level 3 qualification in HGV or Vehicle Maintenance (preferred)
IRTEC accreditation preferred (training available if not currently held)
Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
Class 1 (C+E) xiskglj licence advantageous but not essentialWhat’s On Offer
