This is one of the UK’s largest Bus Operators who are offering the opportunity to be part be part of an Engineering team who are at the forefront of Modern Bus Technology. Not only are they investing in State-of-the-art new buses, but more importantly, they are investing in their Workshops and employees. As an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / PSV Fitter / PSV Technician you will be part of an Engineering Team responsible for maintaining and servicing a modern and varied fleet of vehicles so commuters can enjoy safe travel, wherever they go.
Responsibilities of the HGV Technician
Routine servicing, repair and maintenance of the Fleet to highest DVSA standards
All round Technician covering Mechanical, Electrical
Prepare and present vehicles for MOT Inspection
Maintain detailed records of all work carried out, including parts used and time taken.
Diagnose faults using various diagnostic tools including TEXA,Haldex etc.
Perform thorough inspections, adjustments, and replacements of worn components
Fully comply with all HS&E legislation and group policies. xiskglj
Knowledge, Skills and Experience the HGV Technician needs for this role:
NVQ level 3, City & Guilds, Time Served or equivalent qualifications in HGV / PSV Maintenance
Full UK Driving licence
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
