LCV Technician Monday to Friday | 7:00am–4:00pm or 8:00am–5:00pm | 40 hours per week £40,000 basic + overtime at 1.5x | OTE up to £50,000 An excellent opportunity for an experienced Light Vehicle Technician to join a growing operation where you’ll be working on a variety of vehicles and equipment, with the chance to gain your Personal Track Safety (PTS) qualification. This is a Monday-to-Friday role with a good basic salary, overtime available and a company vehicle provided for work-related use. The role of the LCV Technician / Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic Carry out servicing, maintenance, repairs and fault finding on light vehicles Attend occasional callouts during the working day Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults Work both independently and as part of a wider engineering team Complete work to a high standard while following health & safety procedures Work on or near rail lines once PTS trained What we're looking for from the LCV Technician / Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic Ideally Level 3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Strong hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance Time-served technicians with alternative relevant qualifications will be considered Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills Full UK driving licence Reliable, practical and comfortable working independentlyWhat's on offer? £40,000 basic salary Up to £42,000 basic for an exceptional candidate Overtime paid at 1.5x Potential earnings of up to £50,000 Monday to Friday – 40 hours Company vehicle provided for work use during the day Basic tools and specialist equipment provided PTS training provided by the company Opportunity to develop your experience within a specialist environmentThe big attraction: Monday-Friday hours, strong overtime potential and the opportunity to gain a fully funded PTS qualification — without needing to already have rail experience.
