Automotive Parts Advisor – Dealership Salary: Up to £32,000 per year plus commission and performance-related bonus Job Type: Full-time Location: Gillingham, Kent Are you an experienced Automotive Parts Advisor looking for your next career opportunity? We are recruiting for an Automotive Parts Advisor to join an established dealership team in Gillingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused professional to play a key role in the efficient running of a busy parts department, supporting workshop technicians, service colleagues and customers. The role As a Parts Advisor, you will coordinate the supply of vehicle parts, manage stock levels and ensure customers receive an efficient, professional service. Working closely with the sales and aftersales teams, you will help maximise departmental efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities: Coordinate the supply and distribution of vehicle parts within the dealership. Manage stock levels and ensure the parts storage area is organised and maintained. Monitor stock availability and support effective inventory control. Respond to parts enquiries from customers, workshop technicians and internal departments. Work closely with the sales and service teams to ensure parts are supplied efficiently. Liaise with suppliers and manufacturer representatives regarding parts availability and queries. Provide excellent customer service over the telephone and face to face. Use dealership IT systems to manage parts enquiries, stock records and orders. Support the profitability and operational efficiency of the parts department. Maintain a professional, organised and customer-focused working environment.Skills and experience required: Previous experience in an automotive parts department, ideally within a franchised vehicle dealership. Good knowledge of vehicle parts, components and parts ordering processes. Strong customer service and communication skills. Confident telephone manner and the ability to handle customer enquiries professionally. Good IT skills and the ability to work with stock management systems. Excellent organisation and attention to detail. A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments. The ability to work in a busy environment while maintaining high service standards.Salary and benefits: Salary of up to £32,000 per year.
