You’re probably the technician everyone turns to when something needs sorting. You’re allocating jobs, helping the apprentices, supporting the team and making sure the workshop keeps moving. We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead a busy workshop responsible for maintaining a modern fleet of passenger vehicles. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work alongside your team, keeping vehicles safe, compliant and ready for service every day.
What you’ll be doing as Engineering Supervisor:
- Supervising and supporting a team of PSV Technicians.
- Planning and allocating daily workshop jobs.
- Managing planned maintenance, servicing and repairs.
- Maximising vehicle availability for service.
- Supporting apprentices and developing the engineering team.
- Maintaining engineering records and workshop compliance.
- Working closely with Operations to minimise downtime and service disruption.
- Promoting high standards of safety, quality and workmanship.
What we’re looking for from the Engineering Supervisor:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
- Experience working on PSV, Bus, Coach or HGV vehicles.
- Previous supervisory, team leader or chargehand experience, or be ready to step into your first leadership role.
- Strong fault-finding and organisational skills.
- A Full UK Driving Licence (PCV licence desirable but not essential).
- A positive attitude with the ability to motivate and support others.
