As an experienced Coachbuilder / Auto Fabricator / Commercial Vehicle Bodybuilder / Bodywork Fabricator, you will work as part of a team of coachbuilders, repairing and constructing the bodywork of a varied fleet of vehicles. Using your skills, you will be required to weld and fabricate, restore and repair accident damaged vehicles using a variety of materials including steel, aluminium, fiberglass and other composite materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, fabricate, and assemble vehicle bodies and frames, including custom parts and panels.
- Restore and repair vehicles to original design while maintaining functionality and safety.
- Utilize traditional and modern metalworking tools (e.g., welding, cutting, shaping, and riveting) to build and modify vehicle bodies and structural components.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for both yourself and your colleagues.
- Work alongside other skilled tradespeople, such as engineers, painters, upholsterers and electricians, to ensure a seamless and successful vehicle body repair and restoration.
