We are recruiting for a Fleet Maintenance Controller to join a well-established fleet management business based in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong vehicle technical knowledge who is looking to move into a fleet maintenance role. We will also consider an experienced Vehicle Technician looking to take the next step away from the tools and move into a Monday to Friday, office-based position.
The Responsibilities:
- Managing servicing, maintenance and repair work across a busy vehicle fleet.
- Authorising servicing, maintenance and repair work.
- Reviewing and challenging repair estimates.
- Checking labour times, parts prices and repair requirements.
- Liaising with garages, dealerships and repair suppliers.
- Managing vehicles through the repair process.
- Helping to minimise vehicle downtime.
- Identifying warranty and manufacturer contribution opportunities.
- Keeping customers and drivers updated.
- Managing multiple live maintenance cases.
- Maintaining accurate records on internal fleet systems.
- Helping to control maintenance costs without compromising vehicle safety.
Who They’re looking for:
You will need a good level of mechanical and technical vehicle knowledge, along with strong communication and organisational skills. Having experience using Onelink is preferred.
