Do you have Quality control experience? Are you looking for your next long term challenge? A leading precision engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to join their machine shop team. This role would suit someone with experience inspecting Engineering Components who is looking to develop their career in a high-quality manufacturing environment producing precision parts used in world-class products.
Responsibilities
- Carry out dimensional inspections on both in-house and subcontracted machined components
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications
- Use a range of hand measuring equipment to verify component accuracy
- Support the development and implementation of quality standards
- Monitor and analyse quality performance using SPC / Six Sigma methods
- Investigate product or production quality issues and support corrective actions
- Review NCR data, specifications and manufacturing processes
- Work collaboratively with production teams to resolve quality concerns
- Liaise with customers and suppliers where required
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality databases
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience working as a Quality Inspector in manufacturing or engineering
- Experience inspecting CNC machined parts
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Competent with Microsoft Office
