We are looking for a Used Sales Support colleague to play a key role in supporting and coordinating our used equipment sales activity. This is a varied and commercially focused position, working closely with the sales team, used equipment underwriters, workshops, and marketing to maximise the value and turnaround of used machines. The role will manage part-exchange administration, valuations, refurbishment coordination, and the marketing of used equipment, helping to ensure smooth processes and strong support for the sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Part Exchange & Underwriting Support
    • Capture and accurately record all part-exchange information from the sales team.
    • Distribute details to an agreed panel of used equipment underwriters.
    • Collect, collate, and circulate valuations and terms to the sales team in a timely manner.
    • Act as the main point of contact between sales and underwriters.
    • Negotiate improved values, extended validity periods, and revised timescales where required.
  • Communication & Coordination
    • Work closely with the sales team to ensure machine availability, delivery dates, and timescales are clearly understood and recorded.
    • Liaise with underwriters to coordinate collection, delivery, and handover of used machines.
    • Ensure all changes to values, timings, or conditions are clearly communicated to stakeholders.
  • Refurbishment & Workshop Control
    • Coordinate the generation of workshop orders for used machine refurbishment.
    • Raise and manage parts orders in line with agreed budgets and specifications.
    • Monitor refurbishment progress, costs, and completion dates, escalating issues where necessary.
    • Maintain accurate records of machine status and readiness for sale.
  • Marketing & Promotion
    • Work with the marketing team to promote used equipment across company websites and digital platforms.
    • Ensure listings are accurate, up to date, and supported with suitable descriptions, pricing, and imagery.
    • Support targeted promotion of used equipment to the customer base.
  • Administration & Process Control
    • Maintain accurate records of part exchanges, valuations, refurbishment activity, and sales status.
    • Ensure processes are followed consistently and contribute to continuous improvement.
    • Provide regular updates and reporting to management as required.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Confidence working with both internal and external partners.
