To lead the day-to-day operations of a Holt JCB depot, ensuring exceptional customer experience, strong commercial performance, safe and compliant working practices, and a high-performing team culture. The Depot Manager is accountable for service delivery, parts performance, workshop efficiency, people development, and maintaining the depot as a flagship representation of the Holt JCB brand.
Location: Port Talbot, South Wales.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily depot operations across Service, Parts, Workshop, and Field Service. Ensure efficient job scheduling, technician utilisation, and turnaround times. Maintain depot standards: housekeeping, tooling, equipment, securing, and presentation. Drive consistent adoption of Holt JCB processes and reporting.
- Customer Experience: Ensure every customer receives a professional, timely, and solution-focused service. Manage escalations and resolve issues quickly to protect customer relationships. Build strong relationships with key local customers, contractors, and suppliers.
- People Management: Lead, coach and develop Service Administrators, Parts staff, Technicians, and Engineers. Conduct 1:1's, performance reviews, probation management. Manage absence, conduct, and capability in line with Holt JCB policies. Promote a positive, inclusive, high-performance culture.
- Commercial & Finance Performance: Deliver depot P&L targets across labour sales, parts sales, recoveries, and margin. Monitor WIP, aged debt, stock accuracy, and job profitability. Ensure accurate job costing, warranty claims, and invoicing.
- Safety, Compliance & Safety: Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, environmental, and JCB standards. Maintain audit-ready documentation, risk assessments, and training records. Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and incident investigations.
- Asset & Inventory Management: Oversee parts stock, tooling, loan equipment, and company assets. Ensure accurate stock control, returns, and warranty processes.
