We are looking for an experienced Senior RF Electronics Engineer to join an innovative engineering team working on the development of advanced RF and electronic systems across a range of technically challenging applications. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working across different technologies and projects, taking new concepts from initial design through to prototyping, testing and successful verification. You will work alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists, contributing to the design, development and testing of new RF-based systems and products. The role also offers the opportunity to engage directly with customers and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Applicants for this role must hold, or be eligible to hold, UK SC Clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and test RF and analogue electronic circuits and systems.
- Take RF products and modules from initial concept through prototyping, development and design verification.
- Perform RF, microwave and analogue circuit design and simulation.
- Contribute to the design of RF amplifiers, filters, frequency synthesizers and associated circuitry.
- Develop innovative technical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support laboratory testing, debugging and performance optimisation using advanced RF test and measurement equipment.
- Contribute to technical reviews and communicate engineering decisions and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of engineering processes and technical approaches.
About You
You will ideally have:
- A degree or MEng in Electronic Engineering, RF Engineering or a related discipline.
- 6+ years of post-graduate experience designing RF-based circuits and systems.
- Proven experience developing RF products or modules from concept through to design verification.
- Strong microwave, RF and analogue design and simulation skills.
- Experience with RF amplifier, filter and frequency synthesiser design.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
