Holt Executive are working with an industry leader who provides technology and communication solutions to the maritime, energy and government sectors. Our partner is looking for an Electrical Technician to support the build and test facility within their organisation. The Electrical Technician will assemble, integrate, configure, test and repair various communication equipment for land base and offshore customers.
Main Tasks for the Electrical Technician:
- Perform upgrades and troubleshooting on equipment.
- Perform testing with various Ku, Ka and C-band equipment.
- Complete all Build & Test documentation accurately and update online records.
- 19” equipment rack assembly, cable wiring including coaxial, ethernet, power and data termination and testing.
- Update and communicate job progress with supervisors and associated parties.
- Attend Project kick-off meetings.
- Identify and compile Bills of Material (BOM).
- Configuration and testing of equipment returned from customer site ensuring equipment is ready to be deployed at short notice.
- Return Materials Authorisation (RMA) co-ordination within and out with the region.
- Assist Field Service with on-call duties.
- General workshop duties.
Qualifications & Professional skills for the Electrical Technician:
- Commercial field or military experience with satellite, RF, radar and microwave technologies.
- 2+ years experience in technical design and production in a Build & Test environment.
- Reliable and proven troubleshooting ability.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
- Good knowledge and use of hand tools.
- Proficient use of test equipment including spectrum analysers, power meters, multi-meters and ethernet cable testers.
