Weβre supporting a major engineering project in the Aerospace & Defence sector , based in Huddersfield , and looking for a Stress Engineer to join the team on a permanent or contract basis . The role involves working with high-integrity mechanical systems such as gearboxes, power transmission components, and structural subassemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed stress and structural analysis using FEA tools (ideally ANSYS )
- Support design teams with hand calculations and static load analysis
- Investigate structural failures and conduct root cause analysis
