From enabling seamless inflight connectivity to supporting mission-critical operations in the most remote environments, they are redefining what reliable, high-performance connectivity looks like. This is a pivotal leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape and elevate global user terminal operations within a rapidly evolving, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities for the Director, User Terminal – Service Assurance:
- Lead day-to-day UT operations, setting clear goals and performance standards.
- Oversee deployments, activations, testing, and in-life support to ensure reliability; coordinate closely on new software and terminal rollouts.
- Track KPIs (readiness, uptime, response, resolution) and report to senior leadership.
- Own critical escalations, driving cross-functional resolution with Engineering, Business Units, and vendors.
- Define and continuously improve operational processes, standards, and documentation.
- Align with Engineering, Product, NOC, and Customer Success on delivery and roadmap execution.
- Manage operational risks and ensure compliance with internal policies and SLAs.
- Provide clear updates on performance, risks, and improvement plans.
- Coach and develop the team, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Experience required for the Director, User Terminal - Service Assurance:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years leading technical operations teams in satellite, telecom, or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of user terminal technologies and lifecycle operations.
- Proven team management with a strong sense of urgency and ownership.
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Experience with KPI tracking, reporting, and process optimisation.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
