As a Mechanical Technician, you’ll be central to the build and integration of specialist engineered equipment. Working from technical drawings and clear production instructions, the Mechanical Technician will help ensure every assembly is completed to a high standard, on time, and in line with strict quality and safety processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Complete production and build tasks as directed by the Production Manager
- Identify and prepare materials required to achieve production targets
- Monitor build quality and report production snags in line with internal processes
- Maintain accurate project route cards throughout production
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the facility
- Follow Integrated Management System operating procedures
- Conduct local Health & Safety risk assessments where required
- Ensure safe handling and use of COSHH-controlled substances
- Maintain tooling and workshop equipment in good working order
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe
- Carry out other duties within your competence as required
- Mechanically trade qualified with relevant hands-on experience
- City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 (or equivalent) preferred
- Previous experience in a mechanical or engineering environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings confidently
- Competent using hand tools, mains-powered tools, and battery-operated tools
- Strong awareness of safe working practices, including COSHH
- Basic IT skills
- Able to follow instructions accurately and work safely
- Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas when required
- Detail-focused with a strong commitment to quality workmanship
- Proactive and comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Safety-conscious with a responsible approach to workshop and site activities
- Reliable, adaptable, and supportive of efficient production delivery
