The Role
As a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections of precision components and assemblies.
- Programming and operating CMM equipment, laser trackers and advanced measurement systems.
- Inspecting components using engineering drawings, CAD models and customer specifications.
- Creating and maintaining inspection programmes and measurement processes.
- Analysing inspection results and producing detailed quality reports.
- Supporting investigations into non-conformances, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Working closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Supporting Material Review Board activities and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring inspection processes, equipment and documentation meet required standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a quality inspection role within engineering or manufacturing.
- Strong CMM programming and inspection experience.
- Experience using laser tracker systems and inspection software.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models and GD&T requirements.
- Experience with precision measurement equipment and metrology techniques.
- Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Understanding of FAIR requirements to AS9102 standards.
- Experience supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- A strong understanding of precision manufacturing processes including milling and turning.
