We are recruiting a Production Maintenance Engineer based in Christchurch. Our client operates within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, delivering high‑quality products while focusing on efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement across their production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all maintenance operations across production equipment and facilities
  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programmes
  • Minimise equipment downtime and respond effectively to breakdowns
  • Lead, manage, and develop the maintenance team
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts, and external contractor services
  • Analyse equipment performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to optimise efficiency and output
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and KPIs
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a maintenance management role within manufacturing
