We are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Planner to join a growing and dynamic business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory planning, or procurement administration who enjoys working with data, suppliers, and operational teams to ensure products are available at the right time and in the right place.
As the Supply Chain Planner, you will take ownership of the end-to-end supply and inventory process for an allocated supplier portfolio, ensuring accurate supplier information, efficient stock replenishment, and high levels of supplier performance. Working closely with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in maintaining stock availability, improving supply chain efficiency, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound purchase orders and ensure all supporting documentation is completed accurately.
- Support import and customs clearance activities where required.
- Manage manufacturing order tolerances and supplier performance.
- Coordinate supplier shipments and container deliveries into third-party warehouse locations.
- Forecast stock replenishment requirements based on historical demand, trends, and future business activity.
- Produce inventory reports, trend analysis, and forecasting data to support planning decisions.
- Raise and manage purchase orders in line with departmental targets.
- Obtain supplier order acknowledgements and proactively resolve any supply issues.
- Maintain accurate supplier and product information within company systems.
- Monitor supplier delivery schedules and expedite orders where necessary to maintain service levels.
- Investigate and resolve supplier non-conformances (NCRs).
- Track supplier performance, commercial agreements, and rebate opportunities.
- Prepare reports and supporting information for supplier review meetings and negotiations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.
About You, You will ideally have:
- Previous experience within supply chain, logistics, procurement, inventory planning, or warehouse distribution.
- Experience working with ERP, MRP, WMS, or similar business systems.
- Strong data management, reporting, and analytical skills.
- Experience working with multiple suppliers and third-party logistics providers.
- Advanced Excel skills, including manipulating and analysing large datasets.
- Excellent attention to detail and a highly organised approach.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective supplier relationships.
- The ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive and process-driven mindset.
