Our client, a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based near Poole, is currently seeking an experienced Stores Operative to join their busy team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and organised individual with previous warehouse or stores experience to secure a long-term position within a growing engineering business.
Key Duties for the Stores Operative:
- Receiving, inspecting, and booking in deliveries
- Picking and issuing materials to production teams
- Maintaining accurate stock control and inventory records
- Packing and preparing goods for dispatch
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely
- Ensuring the stores area remains clean and organised
- Using internal stock management systems
What is required for the Stores Operative role:
- Previous experience within stores, warehouse, or goods-in environments
- Engineering or manufacturing background advantageous
- Good IT and numerical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Forklift licence desirable but not essential
