Goods In Forklift Operative – Up to £29,000 + Overtime
Holt Engineering are working with an industry leader in delivering innovative technology to the healthcare sector, based in Poole. They are looking for a Goods In Forklift Operative to join a fast-moving, people-focused business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced forklift operative to join a busy warehouse and production environment, taking responsibility for the safe and efficient movement of materials and goods.
This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday, with a salary of up to £29,000 depending on experience.
Key duties for the Goods In Forklift Operative:
- Operating a forklift safely and efficiently to move materials and goods
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Ensuring goods are stored correctly and safely within the warehouse
- Completing stock and inventory checks
- Picking and preparing materials for production
- Kitting production lines with the required materials and tools
- Packing and preparing goods for dispatch
- Maintaining accurate warehouse records and stock levels
- Ensuring high standards of health, safety and quality are maintained
- Working closely with the warehouse and production teams to ensure materials are available when required
To be a successful Goods In Forklift Operative:
- Previous experience within a warehouse, goods in or manufacturing environment
- Valid forklift licence/certification
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a busy warehouse environment
- Experience of goods in, loading/unloading and stock control
- Good attention to detail
- Able to use initiative and work independently
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment would be advantageous
