I am recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a specialist engineering and infrastructure business delivering complex UK and international projects within defence, government and security-conscious environments. This is a high-impact Procurement Manager position where you will take full ownership of procurement strategy and delivery across multiple concurrent engineered, modular and infrastructure-based programmes.

The Procurement Manager will work closely with Engineering, Project Management, Construction and Logistics teams to ensure procurement activity aligns with programme milestones, risk profiles and commercial targets. This is a career-defining opportunity for a commercially astute Procurement Manager who thrives in technically demanding environments and is confident managing complex international supply chains.

Responsibilities
  • Shaping and delivering effective procurement strategies aligned to programme requirements and risk
  • Sourcing engineered components, M&E equipment, specialist subcontract packages and global logistics solutions
  • Leading RFQs, commercial evaluations and supplier negotiations
  • Managing critical-path suppliers across complex international supply chains
  • Ensuring compliance with defence, export control and trade regulations
  • Driving cost control, value engineering initiatives and overall supply chain performance
Qualifications
  • CIPS qualification (or working towards)
  • Strong procurement experience within engineering, construction, modular/off-site or infrastructure projects
  • Experience supporting defence, government or security-sensitive contracts
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • The ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, multi-project environments
