We are looking for a hands-on Test Technician to join a manufacturing team in a medium-volume, low-mix environment. This role involves the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electromechanical assemblies, working closely with production engineering to support continuous improvement and efficiency. This is a practical, quality-focused role suited to someone with experience in electronic assembly and troubleshooting, who enjoys working with bench equipment, circuit boards, and hand soldering.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, disassemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair electromechanical assemblies.
- Carry out troubleshooting of electronic assemblies using bench equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Perform hand soldering of discrete surface mount components.
- Perform Electrical and Mechanical test operations as defined by routings, manufacturing instructions, test procedures and drawings.
- Identify fault finds and recommend or propose rework activities for the customer and developmental items.
- Work from blueprints, schematics, sketches, manuals, samples, and general instructions.
- Manufacture products to customer expectations while minimising waste and scrap.
- Identify faults in electronic and control equipment and support corrective actions.
