We are looking for a hands-on Production Technician to join a manufacturing team in a medium-volume, low-mix environment. This role involves the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electromechanical assemblies, working closely with production engineering to support continuous improvement and efficiency. This is a practical, quality-focused role suited to someone with experience in electronic assembly and troubleshooting, who enjoys working with bench equipment, circuit boards, and hand soldering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, disassemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair electromechanical assemblies.
  • Carry out troubleshooting of electronic assemblies using bench equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Perform hand soldering of discrete surface mount components.
  • Work from blueprints, schematics, sketches, manuals, samples, and general instructions.
  • Manufacture products to customer expectations while minimising waste and scrap.
  • Identify faults in electronic and control equipment and support corrective actions.
  • Remove and replace defective or failed parts.
  • Maintain safe and clean working practices.
  • Support junior technicians where required and check quality of work.

About You

  • Experience in manufacturing, ideally in a medium-volume, low-mix environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic assembly and troubleshooting.
