We are looking for a skilled and practical Hydraulic Systems Engineer to join a busy and fast-paced design team in Havant. This is a great opportunity to work on innovative marine hydraulic systems, supporting the design, development, testing, and delivery of high-quality solutions from concept through to commissioning. The role will suit someone with a strong background in hydraulic systems design and troubleshooting, who is comfortable working across engineering, production, project, and service functions. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimise hydraulic systems for marine winches, windlasses, and related equipment.
  • Specify and size hydraulic components including pumps, motors, valves, manifolds, cylinders, accumulators, filtration, and pipework.
  • Support both new product development and legacy system upgrades, redesigns, and obsolescence management.
  • Work closely with mechanical, electrical, project, production, and service teams to ensure effective system integration.
  • Engage directly with customers and yards to understand requirements and provide practical engineering solutions.
  • Provide hands-on support during build, assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning.
