We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Estimator to join an established manufacturing business in Fareham. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator with experience in an electronics manufacturing environment to support the preparation of accurate, competitive quotations for customers. You will analyse technical data packs, drawings, Bills of Materials and manufacturing requirements to calculate material and labour costs, working closely with Engineering and Purchasing to produce robust costings and selling-price information.
The Role
As an Electronics Estimator, you will take ownership of reviewing customer data and developing detailed cost estimates for electronic manufacturing work. You will ensure estimates are accurate, commercially competitive and aligned with manufacturing capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyse customer manufacturing data packs, including technical drawings, Bills of Materials, material specifications and production requirements.
- Create and validate Bills of Materials in Excel where these are not supplied by the customer.
- Calculate material, component, labour and manufacturing costs to develop accurate estimates.
- Work with the Purchasing team to obtain supplier pricing and confirm component costs.
