Program and optimise 3-5 axis CNC machines using CAD/CAM software such as NCG, Hypermill or EdgeCAM. Set up Heidenhain-controlled machines and ensure standardised machining parameters are maintained. Develop DFM improvements to reduce cycle times, costs and waste. Support production on the shop floor, troubleshooting issues and maintaining quality standards. Create SOPs, routing procedures and technical documentation. Lead and support process capability studies, continuous improvement and NPI activities. Work closely with Design, Sales and Production to improve quoting accuracy and tooling cost control.
About You
- Proven experience in a high-precision CNC manufacturing environment.
- Strong CAD/CAM knowledge and Heidenhain setup/programming experience.
- Good understanding of GD&T, materials, cutting tools and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with MSA, capability studies, Lean and ISO 9001.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
- A good communicator who works well with production, engineering and leadership teams.
