The Role
Lead the procurement team at this high-mix manufacturing site, driving lowest cost acquisition, supplier management and operational excellence. Responsible for daily team coordination, continuous improvement projects, risk management and NPI support using lean principles to hit Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership
- Manage procurement team (training, performance, resource planning)
- Set departmental KPIs, achieve budget/savings targets
- Ensure safe working practices and daily Tiered Accountability
- Supplier management (risk, contracts, LTAs, audits)
- MRP/ERP demand and open order management (SYSPRO)
- NPI project support – supplier selection, technical/cost delivery
- SIOP collaboration for manufacturing capability alignment
- Optimise delivery attainment with MPS function
- Drive CI initiatives across operations and engineering
- Technical input to strategic purchasing decisions
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- CIPS Level 4 (or equivalent)
- 3–5 years manufacturing procurement experience
- ERP/MRP systems (ideally SYSPRO)
- AS9100/ISO9001 awareness
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and analytical skills
- Right to work in the UK with no Visa Sponsorship
Desirable:
- Engineering/technical procurement background
- Lean/Six Sigma/continuous improvement experience
