A well-established and growing manufacturing business specialising in the production of high-quality outdoor products is seeking a Fabrication Operative to join their production team. This is a temporary to permanent role with excellent progression and training opportunities. The company is based in Poole and recognised for delivering durable, well-crafted products and maintaining high standards. Due to continued growth, they are looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to support their factory operations. This position is working Monday to Friday, a day shift and paying £13ph.
Duties for the Successful Fabrication Operative:
- Assisting within manufacturing and assembly of metal frames and parts
- Working with a variety of materials and hand tools within the factory environment
- Carrying out fabrication, fettling, and finishing work to company standards
- Supporting paint shop activities, including preparation and finishing of products
- Reading and following production drawings and instructions
- Ensuring products are manufactured accurately and efficiently
- Carrying out quality checks on completed products
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working area
- Supporting the wider production team to meet deadlines and production targets
Experience Required to be Considered for the Fabrication Operative Role:
- Experience working with metal is essential, either first hand or working within a fabrication or factory environment.
- Good practical and hands-on skills
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
