CNC Miller – Location: Portsmouth β€’ Pay: Β£35,000 – Β£42,000 p.a β€’ Hours: Monday – Friday, full-time

About the Role

As a CNC Miller, you\\\’ll be programming, setting, and operating Heidenhain-controlled milling machines, with Hypermill used offline for more advanced jobs. You\\\’ll be working on high-precision components across sectors including motorsport and advanced engineering β€” the type of work where standards matter and attention to detail pays off.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and optimise milling programs (Heidenhain & Hypermill)
  • Select tooling, cutting data, and machining strategies
  • Set and operate 3-axis, 4-axis & 5-axis machines
  • Read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Perform first-off and in-process inspections
  • Work with engineering and production teams to improve processes

What We\\\’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a programmer
  • Confident with Heidenhain controls (essential)
  • Hypermill experience preferred: other CAD/Cam software also considered
  • Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds & speeds
  • Good understanding of GD&T
  • Quality-focused mindset and problem-solving ability
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
