Fabrication Operative Location: Christchurch Salary: £15.00 – £18.00 per hour DOE Hours: Monday – Friday Overtime: Available at time and a half Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays Bonus: Annual discretionary bonus scheme We are currently looking for a Fabrication Operative to join an established manufacturing business in Christchurch. The role will involve operating a range of machinery to accurately prepare materials and components for the wider fabrication and assembly process. Previous experience operating machinery within a fabrication or manufacturing environment is essential. The Role Operating automated machinery, CNC equipment, saws and associated workshop machinery. Processing materials accurately to the required specifications. Working from technical drawings, cutting lists, job sheets and production documents. Loading materials and selecting the correct programmes and tooling. Carrying out quality checks on finished components. Identifying and reporting defects, errors or machinery issues. Completing basic machine maintenance, cleaning and housekeeping. Preparing components for the fabrication and assembly teams. Assisting with material handling, packing and loading when required.About You Previous experience operating machinery within a fabrication or manufacturing environment. Practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail. Able to read and work from technical drawings and production information. Good understanding of accuracy, quality and safe working practices. Confident identifying and reporting production or machinery issues. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Experience working with aluminium or within a similar fabrication environment would be advantageous.What’s on Offer? £15.00 – £18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
