We are looking for a talented Electrical Hardware Engineer to join a growing aerospace business developing advanced flight simulator systems. You will be involved in the design, development, testing, and delivery of electrical hardware, working closely with software, systems, and project teams to produce integrated solutions that meet customer and industry requirements. The role will suit someone who is hands-on, results driven, and confident working in a collaborative engineering environment.

  • Design electrical hardware solutions for flight simulator systems.
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to customer expectations.
  • Proven experience in hardware engineering, with a focus on electrical systems development with a methodical approach to electrical design thorough documentation and traceability.
  • Strong experience in an electrical design role, ideally within the simulation, aerospace, defence, or capital equipment sectors.
  • Demonstrable experience designing three-phase and single-phase power distribution systems, including switchgear selection, protection coordination, and cable sizing calculations.
  • Proficiency in electrical CAD tools for schematic capture, wiring diagram production, and panel layout.
  • Practical understanding of EMC principles, including shielding, filtering, grounding for EMC, cable segregation, and experience supporting or leading EMC test campaigns.
  • Experience with computing system electrical integration, including rack power distribution, cooling provisions, and high-density signal/data cabling.
