Are you an experienced CNC Grinder looking for a weekend opportunity within a world-class aerospace manufacturing environment? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a precision engineering business producing high-spec aerospace components to exacting customer and regulatory standards. You’ll be responsible for operating CNC grinding machinery, working from detailed engineering drawings and process layouts to deliver components where accuracy and quality are critical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating MDI CNC grinding machines for internal and external grinding operations
  • Carrying out surface and thread grinding to aerospace standards
  • Completing Operator Control of Quality (OCQ) checks and component stamping
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, route cards, and technical documentation
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and productivity
  • Working within a lean manufacturing environment to meet production targets

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a CNC Grinder within a precision engineering environment
  • Strong knowledge of tight tolerances, surface finishes, and concentricity requirements
  • Confident using inspection equipment including micrometers, comparators, air gauges, and surface finish measuring tools
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high production and quality standards
  • Full BPSS clearance (Right to Work, DBS, and drug screening required)

Desirable Experience:

  • Engineering apprenticeship or time-served background
  • Honing experience
  • Previous aerospace machining or inspection experience
