Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate 2 and 3 axis CNC turning machines
  • Prepare tooling and work holding using engineering drawings and job sheets
  • Adjust offsets, change tooling and inserts, and ensure machines are running efficiently
  • Carry out first-off inspections and accurate measurements using inspection equipment
  • Support production targets while maintaining high quality standards
  • Keep tooling and work areas organised, clean, and maintained
  • Work closely with other setters, operators, and inspection staff to maintain workflow
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a CNC Turner / CNC Setter
  • Experience setting and operating CNC lathes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Confident using measuring equipment and inspection tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good understanding of machining processes and tooling

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with 2 and 3 axis CNC machinery
