I am recruiting on behalf of my client for a Senior Production Technician position within a growing manufacturing and technology-focused environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Production Technician to join a professional operations team where quality, precision and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do.

The successful Senior Production Technician will play a key role in the assembly, testing, inspection and delivery of high-quality systems while supporting junior team members and maintaining exceptional production standards. As a Senior Production Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and testing IPCs, servers, rack systems and electro-mechanical assemblies while ensuring all work is completed to defined specifications and the highest quality standards. You will take ownership of build quality, proactively identify issues, support quality improvements and contribute to a right-first-time manufacturing culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and testing of IPCs, servers, rack systems and electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Following work instructions, engineering drawings and customer requirements accurately
  • Identifying and challenging inconsistencies or errors within production documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with ESD handling procedures and controls
  • Manufacturing and modifying cable assemblies using approved methods and tools
  • Carrying out crimping, soldering and wiring activities to IPC-A-620 requirements
  • Inspecting and verifying work completed by production technicians
  • Configuring, installing and testing rack systems and IPCs
  • Diagnosing and resolving basic build and configuration issues
  • Escalating complex technical issues where required
  • Supporting and sharing best practice with junior technicians
  • Conducting in-process and final inspections of completed work
  • Supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
  • Contributing to a proactive quality-focused culture throughout production operations
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience within an electronics, systems integration, manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong assembly, testing and inspection skills
  • Experience working from technical drawings and work instructions
  • Cable assembly, crimping, soldering and wiring experience
  • A strong understanding of quality standards and workmanship requirements
  • The ability to identify and resolve production-related issues
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • A proactive and positive approach to continuous improvement
