An established precision engineering manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller Setter to join its machine shop team in Portsmouth. This is a permanent opportunity for a skilled machinist who enjoys producing high-quality precision components and working in a busy manufacturing environment. The Role
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines using Bridgeport and Heidenhain controls.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Producing components to tight tolerances.
- Using precision measuring equipment to carry out quality inspections.
- Completing production and quality documentation.
- Working safely and maintaining high workshop standards.
- Supporting efficient production through good communication and teamwork.
What They're Looking For
- Previous experience as a CNC Miller Setter or CNC Miller.
- Strong CNC milling experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Experience using Heidenhain controls is essential.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Competent using precision measuring instruments.

- Experience with CNC lathes, EDM or other machining processes would be an advantage.
