Key Responsibilities

  • MIG welding and fabrication of structural and general steel components
  • Work from engineering drawings and fabrication specifications
  • Cut, assemble, and weld components accurately to required standards
  • Carry out visual checks to ensure weld quality and finish
  • Support wider workshop operations where required
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a MIG Welder
  • Strong fabrication ability alongside welding skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Good attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Training & Development

  • Structured 2–3-week shadowing programme
  • Training on AutoCAD and 3D design software
  • Exposure to press brakes, laser equipment, and Leica laser measurement systems
  • Support towards structural steel welding codes
  • Additional tickets available (MPORS, IPAF, MEWPs, Forklift, Health & Safety)
