I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a high-growth and innovation-led manufacturing business based in Poole, who have recently invested over £1 million into new infrastructure and technology. They are now looking to appoint a skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Technician to work in a modern, forward-thinking environment where quality, precision, and continuous improvement are at the forefront.

As an Electrical Technician, you will play a key role in the build, wiring, and testing of complex machinery. This position will see you working closely with mechanical, test, and quality teams to ensure right-first-time builds and high-performance standards across all products.

Responsibilities
  • Assembling and wiring electrical systems from detailed electrical drawings and circuit diagrams
  • Installing and integrating electrical panels into complex machinery
  • Carrying out electrical testing and safety checks, ensuring all work meets required standards
  • Maintaining accurate build and test records
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities by identifying issues and suggesting solutions
  • Working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth production processes
Key Qualifications
  • A time-served apprenticeship or equivalent experience in electrical assembly
  • At least 2 years’ hands‑on experience with panel board population and electro‑mechanical wiring
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Experience in functional testing and fault‑finding
  • Good understanding of safe isolation and working across a range of voltage systems
  • High attention to detail with a methodical and organised approach
  • A flexible attitude and strong team‑working mindset
