The Mechanical Fitter will work across detailed hand fabrication, fitting and assembly activity, ensuring products are built accurately, tested correctly and completed in line with strict quality requirements.

- Day-to-day responsibilities of a Mechanical Fitter
- Read and work from engineering drawings, specifications and job routings
- Carry out precision fitting, fabrication and mechanical assembly work
- Use hand tools and workshop machinery for cutting, deburring, drilling, riveting and forming
- Assemble components using mechanical techniques to tight tolerances
- Work with stainless steel, aluminium, nickel alloys and similar materials
- Operate and test spot welding equipment where required
- Carry out conductivity checks and minimum/maximum torque testing on finished products
