We’re looking for an experienced Production Wire Person to join a growing engineering team in the Blandford area. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in the quality of their workmanship and enjoys working to exacting standards on complex electrical assemblies. You’ll be producing a range of cable harnesses, looms, and test equipment from drawings, kits, and wiring schedules — including work on cabinets and fixtures. The work is varied, hands‑on, and suited to someone confident in fine detail wiring and high‑reliability assembly.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and wiring cable looms, harnesses, and assemblies from drawings or schematics
  • Crimping, soldering, lacing, and splicing to IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 Class 3 and aerospace/defence standards
  • Working with MIL‑spec connectors and multi‑core cables
  • Supporting the build and wiring of cabinets, fixtures, and test equipment
  • Ensuring all work meets ESD and quality control requirements
  • Occasionally supporting wiring or repair tasks at customer sites

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Wiring Technician, Wireperson, or similar
  • Skilled in hand crimping, soldering, and cable preparation to high standards
  • Confident reading detailed wiring diagrams and assembly drawings
  • Knowledge of aerospace or defence wiring standards desirable
  • SC security clearance or eligibility to obtain it
  • A proactive, detail‑focused approach with excellent workmanship
