Summary of the Role
To work under the instruction and guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work, care and support programmes, enabling access to learning for pupils and assisting the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or may regularly take place outside the main teaching area, including within our Communication Interaction and Resource Base.
Key Responsibilities
- Support classroom teaching and learning of pupils.
- Assist with pupil management and behaviour in line with school policy.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small group support to learners to facilitate personalised learning.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pupil progress and welfare.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and deliver support sessions.
- Adhere to safeguarding and welfare procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Relevant experience in support or teaching roles (e.g., teaching assistant, remedial teacher).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Additional Requirements
